Buyers Have 3 Choices of Real Estate Representation in Texas

Listing Agent
This is the agent you call when you see a yard sign, an ad in the newspaper, or walk into an open house. They represent the seller and are bound to get the seller the best possible price for their home. This agent is under contract with the Sellers.

Dual Agent
Works in a traditional real estate office that takes listings. Will work with a buyer under contract. If a buyer wishes to purchase one of their company's listings they will declare dual agency and represent both the seller and the buyer at the same time.

Buyer Agent
Works for a real estate office that takes listings, but represents home buyers only. This agent, in writing or very clear oral agreement, agrees to represent only one party in any real estate transaction and will not practice dual agency.

I have several working partners so that we can practice single agency. If possible, I usually do not practice dual agency. I want you to have the best representation possible.
